"Italy: Cyprus issue shouldn't block Turkey's EU aspirations
Emma Bonino, Italian minister for international trade and European policies, stated yesterday that the Cyprus dispute should block neither Turkey nor the European Union from continuing Ankara's membership talks.
Describing the Cyprus problem as 'historic,' Bonino underlined the importance of Turkey's membership in the 25-nation bloc, and said, 'We shouldn't stop each other. We need to continue on the same path.' "
