While the media has covered many female politicians in Turkey who have actually entered the Turkish Parliament upon being elected, the Turkish Daily News today takes a look at a woman involved in politics outside the walls of Parliament. Her name is �m�r K�t�k, and she is the deputy regional head for Ankara's True Path Party (DYP). K�t�k's grandfather was a bodyguard for Ataturk. Her father is Hakki K�t�k, a former chief of police, and her mother, Berrin K�t�k, was chief of records for the police department."
