As a group of nationalist lawyers calls for his prosecution for remarks in which he accused the Turkish military of supporting a continuation of clashes with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Joost Lagendijk, a member of the European Parliament, has firmly defended his stance, saying he would �criticize anyone who argues that this [Kurdish] problem will be solved with violence.�"
