Pity we can’t hold this week’s 'Doha Round' of trade talks here in Istanbul and turn around some fresh thinking and new ideas for this struggling forum. One thing the plodding talks have shown us is that time is right for one of Turkey’s premiere natural resources. It’s that critical resource: the ability to live with ambiguity, to see the gray amid the black and white, in short to generate what we could call 'synthesis solutions.'"
