THE Turkish Ambassador to Australia has slammed the Government's travel advisory warnings, saying they 'don't make sense'.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade this week boosted its warning to Australians visiting Turkey, advising them 'to exercise a high degree of caution . . . because of the high threat of terrorist attack'.
It says intelligence suggests terrorists plan attacks on places frequented by foreigners in Istanbul and Ankara.
But, on the eve of the first visit by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the country's Canberra-based Ambassador Tansu Okandan slammed the warnings."
