Sultan's confectioner created sweet concoction for court
Movie buffs and C.S. Lewis fans know Turkish Delight as the sweet treat the White Witch uses to tempt younger brother Edmund to betray his siblings in 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.'
Turkish Delight, according to a Washington company that specializes in the confection, originated in the Ottoman Empire before the 18th century."
