"Turkey: IMF Satisfied w/Turkish Economy
17:26 - 15 December 2005 - Senior IMF director expressed satisfaction with Turkey's success in implementing its IMF-backed economic program and approved the Turkish government's approach in dealing with the current account deficit, Cihan news agency reports.
IMF Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato stated that Turkey was an example of an economy that has changed in recent years by its own efforts and through IMF contribution."
