"Turkey to cooperate with Croatia in common EU entry drive

Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and visiting Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said here on Tuesday that the two countries will cooperate in their EU membership bids.
At a joint press conference, Sezer said Turkey is supporting Croatia's efforts to integrate itself to the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
'Our countries, which started the EU accession talks at the same time, also think that they should cooperate on their way to the EU,' Sezer said.
Terming Croatia as a close friend of Turkey, Sezer said Turkey puts emphasis on boosting peace, stability and prosperity in the Balkans."
