At a liturgy which took place at the Greek-Orthodox Patriarchate in Istanbul on Wednesday to celebrate St. Andrews Day, Patriarch Bartholomew highlighted the importance of a dialogue between Christian churches. St. Andrew is celebrated as the first apostle to preach the Christian gospel in and around Istanbul in the years following Jesus' death. "
