"Turkish Scientist Prof. Ozbay Wins E.U.'s Descartes Prize
LONDON - Prof. Dr. Ekmel Ozbay, chairman of Nanotechnology Research Center of Bilkent University in Ankara, won ''Descartes Research Prize'' which is released for the best scientific projects by the EU.
Prof. Ozbay initiated a project on 'Extending Electromagnetism Through Novel Artificial Materials' in 1999 together with scientists from Greece, United States and Britain."
