"Turkey To Be Promoted In New York City
ANKARA - Turkey will be promoted in New York City (NYC) during Christmas and New Year holidays, Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry said on Thursday.
Officials of the ministry told A.A correspondent that spot announcements will be shown on a giant screen at New York's Times Square between December 23rd, 2005 and January 1st, 2006.
According to these officials, the spot announcements will last for 30 seconds, and be on the screen for 80 times during the above mentioned period.
The spot announcements are expected to be seen by about 15 million people.
There are about 1.5 million passersby at the Times Square a day. The square hosts hundred thousands of people on the New Year's Eve."
