ANKARA - Turkey was re-elected a council member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for two years.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on Friday that the 24th General Assembly Meeting of IMO was held in London between November 21st and December 2nd. Turkey was re-elected IMO council member for two years into category C.

Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) of IMO will hold its 82nd term meeting in Istanbul between November 29th and December 8th, 2006, the ministry added."
