"Turkey - E.U. Talks On Agriculture To Start On December 5th
ANKARA - Turkey-EU talks on agriculture will start on December 5th.
Sources said that a delegation of nearly 50 officials headed by Turkish Agriculture & Rural Affairs Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Vedat Mirmahmutoglu will leave for Brussels for talks.
During introductory meetings within the scope of screening process, the EU will inform Turkish delegation about regulations in agriculture and rural development. On the second stage of these meetings which will start on January 23rd, 2006 in Brussels, Turkey will explain its regulations on agriculture and rural development.
Agriculture talks will be pursued under 3 chapters, which are 'agriculture and rural development', 'veterinary medicine, vegetal production and food' and 'fishery and related issues with agriculture on other phases'."
