"Kars - Tbilisi Railway Is Among Turkey's Top-priority Projects, Tuzmen
ANKARA - ''Kars-Tbilisi railway is one of Turkey's high priority projects,'' said Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on Monday.
Georgian Economy Minister Irakli Chogovadze met Tuzmen at the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretary's Office in Ankara.
Speaking at the meeting, Tuzmen said trade volume between Turkey and Georgia, actually 400 million USD, is expected to exceed 500 million USD by the end of this year.
Replying to a question about the Kars-Tbilisi railway project, Tuzmen said efforts were underway in both countries to find financing sources to the project which was very important for development of eastern Anatolia."
