'The reasons that led the European Union to open negotiations with Turkey remain unchanged,' said Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn. Speaking before Members of the European Parliament in Brussels, Rehn warned Turkey to follow agreements to the letter. 'We expect Turkey to fully implement the protocol in a non-discriminatory manner. The pace of negotiations will also be influenced by the pace of normalization of relations between Cyprus and Turkey,' added Rehn."
