Turkey has become the 5th cheapest country among 30 members of The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
According to the comparative price level for March, filling the goods and services basket with purchases in Turkey paying just 100 New Turkish Lira (YTL) can be purchased for 92 YTL in the Czech Republic, 93 YTL in Slovakia, 94 YTL in Poland and 98 YTL in Mexico. Filling the same basket in Iceland would cost 247 YTL, 223 YTL in Switzerland, 222 YTL in Norway, 221 YTL in Denmark and 205 YTL in Ireland. "
