I reminded the patriarch of Turkish-Armenians, Mesrob II, that the Vatican had issued statements recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide and that this had angered Turkey. I asked him if the Armenian Church being represented by three patriarchs, from Turkey, Armenia and Lebanon, at the pope's funeral could be described as the payment of a debt. "
