However great his or her reputation may be, every politician and every statesman has their day. The �day� of Denktas was nearly half a century, and not only in Cyprus, but in Turkish and international politics, too. A hero of iron will for a just cause, he dedicated his whole life to defending it single-handedly, both in body and soul. "
