"Turkish Parliamentarian Rejects US Blockade against Cuba
Havana, March 9 (AIN) The President of the Human Rights Commission of the Turkish Parliament, Mehmet Elkatmis, said the US has no right to keep in place the economic blockade against Cuba.
Elkatmis welcomed the Cuban ambassador and an accompanying delegation to his country at the headquarters of the Turkish parliament. The Cuban delegation is taking part in a week of solidarity activities organized by the Association of Friendship with Cuba in the capital, Ankara, Granma Daily reported Wednesday.
The Turkish parliamentarian rejected the report issued by the US State Department about the worldwide situation on the topic and expressed shock at the accusations against nations like Turkey and Cuba, as the US was the first country to use atomic weapons against Japan, and chemical weapons against Viet Nam, he said."
