"Turk EU Bid Falters on Reform 'Slippage'

Turkey�s decades-long ambition to join the European Union is facing fresh setbacks as the wealthy bloc increasingly complains of �reform fatigue� in Ankara.
An EU ambassador in Ankara said the Turkish government�s reluctance over the past few months to tackle further reforms required before entry talks begin have made the prospects gloomy.
�We see signs of reform fatigue,� the ambassador said. �The start of talks may be jeopardized unless the government takes corrective action soon.� "
