"Cyprus Rejects Annan as Final Judge of Any Draft Peace Accord
March 22 (Bloomberg) -- The government of Cyprus won't allow United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan to decide on the final draft of any agreement to reunite the Mediterranean island if Turkish and Greek Cypriots can't agree on the document, President Tassos Papadopoulos said.
The government also won't accept ``tight timeframes'' during any resumption of UN-backed talks to resolve the three-decade-old division of Cyprus, Papadopoulos told a group of students at the presidential palace in Nicosia yesterday, according to a statement e-mailed by the government today. "
