The chill that has characterized Turkey's official relations with Israel thawed this week when, for the first time in two years, Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul agreed to visit here. It is hoped that in the wake of this visit, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's promise to visit Israel will also be fulfilled."
