Western media at fault for anti-China sentiment in Turkey: Duowei
A litany of anti-China demonstrations have broken out in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, and Istanbul, its largest city, recently, in protest of the alleged restriction on the fasting taken by Uyghur people in Xinjiang during Ramadan, the annual ritual of Muslims worldwide. The incident appears to underscore the lack of understanding and communication between the Turkish and Chinese, a gap aggravated by the negative reporting by Western media of the Chinese government's policy on ethnic minorities and the status of the latter.
