In his appeal to the Ugandan court of public opinion, Turkey’s Minister for European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator for the EU accession negotiations, Volkan Bozkir has told us “it would be a wise step for Turkey’s European friends to facilitate the accession process...membership will change the dynamics of the EU and the region for the better.” (The Case for Turkey in Europe, New Vision 9th April 2015).
