Turkey in exemplary move against ‘Christianophobia’

Turkey’s efforts to join the European Union are likely to get a boost through a decision of its authorities to consent to the building of the country’s first Christian church on its soil in the past century. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as telling local religious leaders that no faith that has lived in the country over the decades could be regarded as ‘foreign’.
