Officer who fatally shot Gezi protester given seven years in prison
An Ankara court has sentenced police officer Ahmet Şahbaz to almost eight years in prison for shooting and killing Gezi protester Ethem Sarısülük during a demonstration in Ankara on June 1, 2013, in a verdict it delivered on Wednesday.
