CAIRO – Some 55.8 million registered voters will begin casting their votes in Turkey’s first direct elections on Sunday, August 10, that are expected to bring an easy win for the 60-year-old Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party (AKP), which has ruled the country for 12 years.
