Ruling party nominates Davutoğlu as the new leader to form next gov't

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Thursday that the top administrative body of the governing Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has decided to nominate incumbent Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu as the candidate for the chairman's position to be voted on at the party's congress next week.
