Turkey Bans Twitter to Save Democracy

What’s a budding authoritarian to do? Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan banned Twitter from the country -- and it didn’t work. So many Twitter users were able to get around the ban that usage more than doubled today, the first day in which the service was blocked. Plus, Turks had a laugh at Erdogan’s expense.
