Turkey's weakened security apparatus

Turkey, which has been blamed for lending support to radical Islamic groups in Syria, now appears to be taking measures against these groups. The measures, however, are limited to responding only to any deliberate or inadvertent aggression towards Turkish soil. The Turkish military, for the first time, hit an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) convoy in Syria on Feb. 2 in response to its mortar shells landing on Turkish soil.
