Legal wiretapping vs. illegal wiretapping

As Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced last week, the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government has plans to introduce new measures to make legal wiretapping, which is carried out on court orders, more difficult. According to the prime minister, decisions on wiretapping must be made unanimously by related courts. They are currently made by a majority of judges.
