Former lawyer of prosecutor Öz dies in car accident

The lawyer who used to represent former graft prosecutor Zekeriya Öz -- who was removed from his post in Bakırköy Courthouse in İstanbul in a massive overhaul of the judiciary by the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) in early January -- died in hospital following a car accident in İstanbul on Wednesday.
