EU asks Turkey to 'revise' internet clampdown

A European Commission spokesman on Thursday in Brussels said EU candidate Turkey's new internet law, which enables the government to snoop on citizens and to control content, "needs to be revised in line with European standards." He added: "Turkish people deserve more freedom of information and transparency, not more restrictions."
