Erdogan's media crackdown gets blowback

As Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan looks ahead to elections he hopes will propel him into a presidency with expanded powers, he is still struggling to deal with a major corruption probe and the outrage at his government's response. In particular, his push to gain new controls over the Internet and reshuffle the judicial system are now earning the open derision of reputed media institutions.
