Turkish premier calls for end to protests

Istanbul (dpa) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for an immediate end to anti-government protests early Friday, after he arrived back from a visit to North Africa.
In front of around 10,000 supporters of his governing Justice and Development Party at Istanbul‘s Ataturk airport he said the demonstrations had lost their democratic justification and had turned into vandalism.
