Balkans set for EU boost, Turkey to be offered alternative route

Brussels - The European Union's executive annual report on countries bidding to join the bloc was set to deliver good news to Serbia and Montenegro on Wednesday, while offering Turkey an alternative to its deadlocked accession negotiations.
