Turkey’s traditional snack food, simit, which is a bread ring covered with sesame seeds and can be found everywhere in Turkish cities, is being promoted with a festival once again. The 2nd Sultanahmet Simit Festival started Saturday at Sultanahmet Square, where guests were offered free simit and tea. The festival is an attempt to promote a Turkish cultural value to masses of people
