The Netherlands has criticised an announcement by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to send navy ships to protect the Freedom Flotilla taking aid to the Gaza Strip.
In response to questions by the Freedom Party, Minister Rosenthal said in parliament that he told his Turkish counterpart that the Dutch government does not appreciate such “threatening language”. Turkey says it is sending the convoy to protect the aid ships from Israeli attack.
