PM Erdogan has termed Sunday’s Referendum a victory of democracy, which in fact is defeat of democracy. The constitutional reforms will allow lawmakers to control judiciary, which in turn will compromise its independence. In a true democracy, judiciary, executive and lawmakers are equal in power trichotomy. They keep each other in control under the inherent system of “checks and balances”."
