"Turkey's industrial production drops in August

ISTANBUL, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Thursday reported a drop of 6.3 percept in industrial production in August 2009 over the same month in 2008.
The industrial production index was released by the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) in Ankara. The industrial production in manufacturing was down 7.2 percent, and it was 3.6 percent down in electricity, gas and water in August this year."
