"Three Kurdish rebels killed in Turkey: military
Kurdish terrorists fired on a Turkish paramilitary commando unit Wednesday in the country's East, prompting a gunbattle in which three militants were killed, security sources said.
The firefight occurred in the mountains of Van province. The military sent reinforcements to fight the members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK. Several of the militants escaped."
