"Hungary - Foreign Minister Péter Balázs’s talks in Turkey
Foreign Minister Péter Balázs paid a two-day visit to Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu.
Mr Balázs engaged in a tête-à-tête with the head of Turkish diplomacy which was followed by a plenary meeting and a working luncheon. They stated that Hungarian-Turkish relations are excellent and rooted in deep historical-cultural ties. Yearly trade turnover amounted to around 2 billion dollars – relatively modest given the two countries’ attributes – and they therefore urged the exploration of opportunities to ensure that more fruitful relations are borne for both sides."
