"23 students detained in operation against PKK in eastern Turkey

ANKARA, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-three students were detained in a police raid in the eastern city of Erzincan on Monday, local Dogan news agency reported.
Newly registered at Erzincan University, the students were detained for alleged links to the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK), said the report, adding that among the 23 detained students, four were female."
