"Greece sets fresh conditions on Turkey's EU membership

Greece has asked the EU to exercise pressure on Turkey to meet undertaken obligations for prevention of illegal immigration, Greek info-website InNews reports.
Citing a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release, InNews says Greece has asked European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso to set fight against illegal immigration as a fresh condition for Turkey's EU accession.
Athens believes that Turkey does not fight illegal immigration at its territory, but also does not prevent smuggling channels for Asian and African immigrants when reaching Greece."
