Turkish Patent Institute maintains the Turkish register of trademarks under Decree-Law No.556, pertaining to the protection of trademarks and the implementing regulations. Trademark protection in Turkey is obtained by registration with the Turkish Patent Institute. Additionally, Turkey recognizes international trademark applications under the Madrid Protocol."
