"Dutch director of earthquake doc dies
İZMİR - The Dutch director of a documentary about the 1999 Marmara earthquake has died of a heart attack. He was 59.
Floor Kooij was living with his Turkish wife Sibel Bilgin in Istanbul and Amsterdam when he died in Amsterdam during work on the documentary 'Benim Kırık Şehrim' (My Broken Town) that features the story of Gölcük and Değirmendere, which were destroyed in the earthquake. The documentary will be shown at this year’s Istanbul Film Festival."
