"Minaret artisan proud of renovation
EDİRNE - The Selimiye Mosque, built by famous architect Mimar Sinan between 1568 and 1574, is under renovation.
'I am proud to be working on a creation of Sinan,' said Zeynel Tükeş, who is repairing the Edirne mosque’s minaret.
Tükeş told the Anatolian News Agency he was working on restorations of historical mosques that defy time at Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli for the last three years."
