"Turkish FM says US, Turkey cooperating in fight against Kurdish rebels
Turkey's foreign minister said Thursday that the US and Turkey are in close cooperation in the fight against Kurdish rebels.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, after meeting with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, said Turkey also communicates with Iranian authorities about fighting the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK. The PKK has been fighting for self-rule in southeastern Turkey since 1984. "
