The Nature Society (DD) is a non-profit organization that aims to conserve the natural treasures of Turkey. An article on the “Key Biodiversity Areas” (KBA) concept, developed in 2004 by 14 scientists with the DD's initiative, was published in the United States magazine BioScience. The method suggested aims to determine the irreplaceable and most fragile natural areas in the world and to search for the rarest living species in danger of extinction. "
