The head of the European Commission and the Enlargement Commissioner arrived in Turkey on Thursday for a three-day official visit as the ruling AKP government, under pressure from the closure case, is set to renew reform efforts following a period of slowdown. Barroso and Rehn met Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan and they are expected to hold a joint news conference."
